YES National Awards

The Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme National Awards recognise the achievements of student companies in their region and those that have achieved excellence in a particular category.
The annual awards celebration for 2010 is in Wellington on Wednesday 3 November. The national competition for regional representative teams will be conducted during the day with the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme awards dinner held in the evening.

National Awards

There are 15 excellence awards in 2010 with recipients selected by our sponsors who take an active interest in the activities of enterprise students. This year we are delighted to announce some new awards and these, along with their criteria, are listed here.

Gallagher Group Excellence Award for Social Responsibility

 

Companies who recognize social challenges and use entrepreneurial principles to organise, manage and create a positive change in the community will be considered for this award. The focus can be any social, cultural, or community concern.

CRITERIA
A thoughtful enterprise that addresses a community concern; contributes to building stronger communities; results  in a strong and sustainable improvement.

NZICA Award for Best Business Management

CRITERIA
The company with the top mark in the Annual Report.

NZICA Award for Most Profitable Business

CRITERIA
The company which has made the most profit, as evidenced in the Annual Report

Enterprising Music Award
The company that produces the best results as an artist and repertoire music business as evidenced through their entry in the Play it Strange Album competition and their annual report.

For a full list of National Awards please download the list To be eligible for awards, students must submit their annual report to YE Trust by 5pm Friday 24th September 2010.

Forms and documents:

All teams will have their Annual Reports returned to the school with a breakdown of the grade received. Copies of all finalist reports will be kept and may be used by Young Enterprise Trust for further educational purposes.
